VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89-19 Generic letter (GL) 89-19, entitled "Request for Action Related to Resolution of Unresolved Safety Issue A-47 'Safety Implication of Control Systems in LWR Nuclear Power Plants' Pursuant to 1O CFR 50.54 (f)," requests licensees to review and provide a statement of intent to implement the recommendations of Enclosure 2 and provide a schedule for implementation. Enclosure 2 recommendations include: 1) provide steam generator overfill protection and 2) provide plant procedures and Technical Specifications for operability and periodic surveillance of the overfill protection.
