By letter dated October 31, 2018 (GLE-2018-0060) (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML18320A126), Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) submitted a package that describes a proposed disposal method for certain classified matter. The document was submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 95.47, Destruction of matter containing classified information to obtain U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval of the disposal method.
The NRC staff reviewed GLEs proposed disposal method, in consultation with the U.S.
Department of Energy. The review finds that the proposed method provides adequate protection of safety, security, and the environment and will preclude recognition or reconstruction of the classified matter. Based on this review, the NRC staff approves GLEs disposal method for the specified classified matter.
The project management CAC 000222/07007016/L-2017-PMP-0001, FB-FF-PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR SPECIFIC LICENSEE-384149-YES was used to complete this review.
