RELEASE OF IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NUMBER SB 22.401 AND SB 22.493 FOR THE ACCOUNT OF AREVA, INC. (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2017-PMP-0001)
Dear Sir/Madam:
On November 8, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a letter confirming that the site of the former Blended Low Enriched Uranium Facility was suitable for unrestricted release. Therefore, the decommissioning financial assurance established for the site is no longer required. The letter is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession Number ML18302A012.
Accordingly, we are releasing the Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit Number SB 22.401 and SB 22.493 issued by Credit Industriel et Commercial for the account of AREVA, Inc. The original signed letters of credit are enclosed for your cancellation.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
