50-498A and 40-499A and Texas Utilities Generating Co.

Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Units 1 and 2, Docket Nos. 50-445A and 50-446A Gentlemen:

During the month of February, 1979, the City of Austin received a Motion to Compel Fuller Answers and Production from the Justice Department. Austin filed an objection to the Motion and has offered to Justice the opportunity to inspect Austin's files in Austin, Texas. Justice has not responded to this offer.

On February 2, 1979, Austin received the initial interroga-tories from the City of Brownsville, Texas. Austin is in the process of answering Brownsville's interrogatories.

Austin has offered, and Brownsville has accepted, the oppor-tunity to inspect all of Austin's relevant files. This will be done on March 6 and 7, 1979.

Respectfully submitted, #
