Gentlemen:

Re: Recreational Uses 4.3.6.2 (Environmental Statement Commanche Peak Steam Electric Station Docket No. 50-445 and 50-446)

In order for the record to reflect the current facts, I wish to bring to your attention the incorrect data as shown in the Environmental Statement.

It is stated that "The Applicant anticipates that ... a portion of the property along the eastern shoreline of the reservoir will be made available to a governmental or regulatory' agency for development inte a public recreational facility.

Texas Utilities Generating Company had offered Squaw Creek Reservoir and park lands to Somervell County for recreational uses. Following affirmative action and acceptance in principal by the Somervell County Commissioners Court of the offer by Texas Utilities, the Utility withdrew the offer. Also, it is my understanding that the reservoir and park acres will not be given to nor accepted by the State of Texas.

I .wish to object to the statement as 'it stands in

,your Environmental Report and request that it be altered to'contain only absolute and true facts.

The citizens of Somervell County - the county in which the Nuclear Plant is11ocated - do not appreciate or want any statement to be accepted in the' licensing process that-is not totally true. A full and complete answer to the Environmental Statement is being prepared and will be forthcoming.

Sincerely, ,-

M ..'
