Dear Mr. Waldrep:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Lee Grzeck of your staff and Mr. McKenzie Thomas on June 30, 2009, concerning a Category 1 public meeting, being conducted at your request, which has been scheduled for July 28, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a preliminary white finding (a finding of low to moderate safety significance) involving the failure to correctly translate the design basis into an engineering change to replace control relays on all four emergency diesel generators at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed.
