Within the scope of a routine unannounced inspection of our Radiation Protection Program, the following concern was raised;The practice of allowing individuals to eat and drink within the secondary chemistry laboratory was indicated to be inconsistent with generally accepted industry standards.
 
Zn support of this, the inspector provided a reference to 29 CFR 1910.141 which delineates the requirements for areas which are exposed to toxic materials.
