Dear Mr. Vissing:

RGB submitted Relief Request 035 for our Inservice Inspection Program Section XI requirements on August 6, 1998. Subsequent discussions with the NRC indicated that significant additional detail would be needed for the NRC to properly review that submittal.

Based on that additional level of effort, RGScE requests to withdraw Relief Request 035. We plan to resubmit a relief request, which includes the additional level of detail, in the near future. This submittal will provide a detailed comparison of the latest NRC-approved ASME Code, the 1989 Edition, to the 1995 ASME Code with 1996 Addenda, which we plan to use for the fourth ISI interval (January 2000 to September 2009).
