Dear Mr. Fagan:

Drinking water samples submitted October 16,1996 resulted in a tier 1 Bacteriological MCL violation. Consequently, resampling of that sample point  :

(repeat-original tap) and upstream and downstream samples were requested by phone from Mr. Gaylon Alford, West Feliciana Parish Sanitarian, on October 28, 1 1996. The repeat samples taken October 31,1996 resulted in a confirmed l

positive for the original tap and negative results for the upstream and downstream samples.  :

l The repost sampling and analysis indicates that there is contamination from an {

internal tap or plumbing problem and not the drinking water itself. Due to these  ;

findings, please accept this letter as a request for invalidation of the positive l Bacteriological MCL violations.  ;

in addition, the original samples in question were taken from the same sample l point, Tap #5 and not from two (2) different sample points as reported on the l Laboratory Request and Report Form for October 16,1996.  ;

, please substitute a tap in the Main Administration Building, West Entrance and add an additional sample tap located in the General Support Building (GSB)

mechanical room. Please refer to the attached map for sample tap locations.
