Dear Todd Sellmer:

By letter dated May 26, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System

[ADAMS] Accession No. ML25148A337), you submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the amendment of the TRUPACT-II and HalfPACT Safety Analysis Reports (SAR), specifically for changes to drawings contained in the SARs.

The purpose of this e-mail is to provide you the results of the NRC staffs acceptance review of this proposed action request. The staff determined that the application does not contain sufficient technical information to allow the staff to complete a detailed technical review. The information needed to continue our review is described below. In order to schedule our technical review, this information should be provided by 7/18/25.

Your submittal has been assigned Cost Activity Code (CAC)/Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) 001029/L-2025-LLA-0089. Please reference this number and Docket Nos 71-9218 and 71-9279 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this e-mail will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. Request for Supplemental Information (RSI)

RSI M-1

Provide supplemental information for the optionally plated flange head cap screws identified in drawings 163-008 Rev.7, 163-010 Rev.4, 163-011 Rev.4, 163-012 Rev.3, and 163-013 Rev.4 of HalfPACT SAR, Revision 10:

a. Coating material for the optionally plated hex head screw (i.e. zinc, nickel, etc).

b. Evaluation of any adverse galvanic, corrosive, or other chemical reactions with the package internal components or contents as a result of the plating.

c. Safety function, if any, that the plating will be credited for.

This information is needed to satisfy the requirements of 10 CFR 71.43(d).
