SUMMARY

- 2021 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING REGARDING CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-413 AND 50-414; MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION NOS. 50-369 AND 50-370; OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION NOS. 50-269, 50-270, AND 50-287 On March 23, 2022, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a virtual public meeting concerning the annual assessment of Catawba Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2; McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2; and Oconee Nuclear Station Units 1, 2, and 3. The purpose of the virtual meeting session was to provide opportunities to discuss the annual assessment of Catawba Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2; McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2; and Oconee Nuclear Station Units 1, 2, and 3 for the period of January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021, with the public.

In response to the COVID-19 coronavirus and updated Federal Government guidance on travel and social distancing, the meeting was held remotely through Microsoft Teams application. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML22069A130), Assessment Meeting Presentation (ML22067A199).

The meeting was conducted from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM local time. There were 34 attendees, which consisted of representatives from the NRC, Duke Energy, and members of the public. Due to the nature of the meeting, no official list of attendees is included. NRC staff were available for questions following each presentation. There was minimal interaction with the public, consistent with the normal meetings conducted near the stations.
