OF APRIL 12, 2022, CLOSED MEETING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY TO DISCUSS RECENTLY IDENTIFIED ERRORS POTENTIALLY AFFECTING THE BROWNS FERRY REVISED CRITICALITY ANALYSIS LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST (EPID L-2021-LLA-0097)
On April 12, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with representatives of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA, the licensee) and its fuel vendor, Framatome, to discuss recently identified errors that have a potential impact on the revised criticality analysis license amendment request for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (Browns Ferry),
Units 1, 2, and 3.
The meeting notice and agenda, dated March 31, 2022, are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML22090A076. A list of participants is enclosed.
During the closed meeting, Framatome described the errors and the impacts on the revised criticality analysis for Browns Ferry. TVA plans to submit a revision to the criticality analysis in mid-May.
No regulatory decisions were made at this meeting.
