Docket No. 50-219 Response to Generic Letter 91-11 Resolution of Generic Issues 48 and 49 GPU Nuclear Corporation (GPUN) has reviewed the guidance attached to Generic letter 91-11 and evaluated its requirements using a multi-disciplinary review process. Equipment, procedures, and other design documents were reviewed and evaluated in accordance with the recommended actions of the Generic Letter.
- As a result, several procedures were revised to include time limitations for normal and/or alternate power supplies to 120V IE vital instrument buses to be out of service. [ Generic Issue No. 48] Additionally, review of the existing station procedures for control of interlocks to Class 1E Tie Breakers found that the administrative controls, currently in place, conform to the GL 91-11 guidelines. [ Generic Issue No. 49]
Therefore, GPUN does hereby certify that the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station has implemented procedures which conform to the guidance contained in the Enclosure to Generic Letter 91-11.
