. untrained / unqualified workers performing valve repairs. - Based upon Ol's review of the U.S.

Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration's final investigative report, as well as Ol's interview with the valve technician, the NRC concluded that the valve  ;

technician was not discriminated against for raising a concern regarding.the use of  !

SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region I Field Office, on December 4,1998, to determine whether a contract l valve technician, employed by Raytheon Nuclear Co., working at Oyster Creek (OC) Nuclear Generating Station, GPU Nuclear Corporation, was discriminated against for raising a concern

The valve j technician's job was changed, and then he was laid off on October 9,1998. l Based upon Ol's review of the Department of Labor final investigative report, as well as an independent interview with the former contract valve technician, it is concluded that he was not discriminated against for raising a i acern regarding the use of untrained / unqualified workers performing valve repairs.
