REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM INSPECTION - OYSTER CREEK
Dear Mr. Roche:
In a telephone conversation on March 23,1999, Mr. J. Williams, of this office, and Mr. J. Vaccaro, of your staff, made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the licensed operator requalification program at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The inspection is planned for the week of May 24,1999, which coincides with your regularly scheduled requalification examination cycle. The staff at your facility should prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with your NRC-approved requalification program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licenseer to submit their comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs. For the NRC to prepare for this inspection, \
please furnish the exam week schedule and the written examinations and operating tests O scheduled for the week of the inspection to the NRC by May 14,1999. Mr. Vaccaro has been advised of this request and asked to send the material to Mr. J. Williams.
