The referenced letters provided GPU Nuclear's ASME Section VIII evaluations of_ the Oyster Creek Drywell for with and without sand stability analyses, GE Report Indices 9-2 and 9-4. This letter provides you with Revision l~to these evaluations.
This revision inct 'porates changes resulting from an internal audit which identified an error in calculating the H factor, see Figure 2-3 of Reports 9-2=and_9-4. The calculated stress assumed a cylindrical shape rather than the.more appropriate spherical ' shape.. The calculated capacities are still in compliance with all. required ASME Code provisions, however, the margins beyond those capacities are reduced. The revisions to the effected pages are indicated by vertical lines in the right hand margin.
