A. Public Address Description f Provides in-plant communication and emergency alarm. Powered by 1

Instrument Bus. Five channels:

. Channel 1 - reserved for Operations personnel.

. Channel 2 - Open

. Channel 3 - Open l . Channels 4 & 5 - reserved for communications between emergency centers during emergencies.

- NOTE -

Control Room uses high volume override when sounding plant emergency alarm.

B. Dimension Telechone Descriotion Powered from plant. Calls routed through Prince Frederick, Baltimore or Annapolis exchanges.

Use Routine. Refer to Demension Dialing Instructions card.

C. Sound Powered Phones Cescription Hardwired network. Provides communications between Operations, Maintenance, Fire Brigade personnel and Control Room.

Location Control Room, Technical Support Center (TSC), Emergency Control Center (ECC) and numerous locations throughout plant.

Use Head sets are carried to location. Unscrew receptical cap and plug in headset. Speak loudly into microphone.

i-IRPIP .5.1 Aev. 9 C D. MICROWAVE TELEPHONE Descriotion Provides direct communication between CCNPP and System Operator (Load Dispatcher) via BG&E owned microwave system.

Location Control Room-SCRO desk.

Switchyard Control House.

Use Lift receiver to contact System Operator.

ALL - Call feature - SCRO's desk microwave phone emits beeping sound and red light flashes; lift receiver, push both buttons to acknowledge call.

E. RADIO TELEPHONE

Description .

VHF radio system consists of base stations, control units, mobile / portable units.

Provides communications between radiological monitoring teams and l

emergency centers.

Provides auxiliary communications with State, County and BG&E emergency facilities.

Provides pager recall for certain CCNPP personnel.

Location Plant: Control Room, ECC, Alternate ECC, Central Alarm Station (CAS),

Secondary Alarm Station (SAS), several plant vehicles.

Use CONTROL UNIT - Choose desired channel and mode (Attachment 1.) Lift l

handset. Press handset button to transmit; release to receive. See Attachment 2 for headset use.

MOBILE (vehicle mounted) - Select channel 1, code 1. Press PVT. button.

Lift microphone. Press microphone button to transmit; release to receive.

PORTABLE - Select channel 1. Place toggle switch to position. Set squelch. Press button on side of unit or on extension microphone to transmit; release to receive. ,

PAGER RECALL - See Attachment 3.

F. DEDICATED TELEPHONE SYSTEM (HOT LINES)

Description Provides direct, non-delay communications between on-site and off-site emergency facilities. Utilizes private C&P telephone lines.

Location On-site: Control Room, TSC, ECC, Alternate ECC, OSC.

Off-site: MCC, MEM&CDA, DRC, Calvert EOC, St. Mary's EOC, Dorchester EOC.

Use Press button marked with initials of location you wish to contact. Lift receiver (normal ringing may not be heard.) Conference button allows O simultaneous conversations with non-BG&E off-site facilities.

{ G. LNG -(COVE POIST)- HOT LINE Cescriction Allows Cove Point Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) terminal to notify CCNPP Control Room of LNG related problems.

Location Control Room (SCRO desk.)

2. Select ear piece. Attach to headset (ear pieces located in vinyl case with i

3. Plug headset into receptacle under table ledge and don headpiece.  !
4. Adjust headset receptacle volume switch to comfortable level.

5. Transmit by depressing foot pedal (has wire attached to it). Red " transmit" l
