dated May 10,1990, Second Ten-Year Inservice Inspection Program Plan for Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2 Reference (a) reported approval of our second ten-year Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program Plan.

Reference (b) provided Changes I through 3 to the ISI Program Plan. Attached please find Change 5 to the Inservice inspection (ISI) Program Plan for the Second Inspection Interval as required by ASME Code Section XI. This change adds additional code cases for possible future use at Calvert Cliffs. The additions are necessary because of recent activity by the ASME XI Code Committee which indicates that they are going to annul older code cases that have already been incorporated into later additions of ASME Code l Section XI. Once annulled, these older code cases can only be utilized at Calvert Cliffs if they are identified in the ISI Program Plan. We do not plan to change our ISI code commitment until the ten-year ISI Plan is updated at the end of the second inspection interval.

Also attached for your information is Change 4, which corrects a typographical error on Page 13, Table 1.

The reference figure for examination category should be IWB-2500-14, rather than IWB-2500-13.

Figure IWB-2500-14 better represents the as-built conditions at Calvert Cliffs.

Chance 5 G. RELIEF REQUESTS AND CODE CASES 6.1 Relief Requests In accordance with 10CFR50.55a(g)(5)(iv), BG&E has requested relief from those ASME Section XI requirements that have been determined impractical for certain areas. This section summarizes each Relief Request ruir.nitted to the NRC for consideration. Each request provides information on the component for which relief is requested, ASME requirements, proposed alternate method, and other pertinent information, as needed. Additional Relief Requests will be submitted to the NRC as appropriate.

Table 5 presents a summary of the enclosed Relief Requests.

6.2 ASME Code Cases In accordance with 10CFR50.55a, footnote 6, ASME Section XI Code Cases referenced in Regulatory Guide 1.147, " Inservice Inspection Code Case Acceptability.ASME Section XI, Division 1," may be incorporated into the Calvert Cliffs ISI Program. Those Code Cases included in Regulatory Guide 1.147 that will be implemented at Calvert Cliffs are identified in this section. Each Code Case is preceded by information on the applicable component / area, ASME requirements, and how the Code Case will be implemented. Additional Code Cases will be included as appropriate.

Table 6 presents a summary of Regulatory Guide 1.147 Code Cases that will be used.

Table 7 presents a summary of additional Regulatory Guide 1.147 Code Cases that may be used.
