SUBJECT:

Follow-up to Special Report on Inoperability of Fire Barriers Omaha Public Power District (0 PPD) reported in Reference 2 the inoperability of several fire barriers. The purpose of this submittal is to inform you of the status of those fire barriers that remained inoperable at the time Reference 2 was filed. Fire barrier penetration seals 19-E-39 and 19 W-14 were restored to operable status on November 27, 1989. Firedoor 1013-7 remains inoperable and it is intended that this door will be repaired or replaced by June 29, 1990, at which time a follow-up report will be submitted. Compensatory measures have

.been in place for the entire time period that this door has been considered inoperable and will remain in place until the door can be restored to an operable status.
