OPERATIONS

SUMMARY

During the month of October 1998, the Fort Calhoun Station (FCS) operated at a nominal 100% power. Temporary Modification (TM) Number DCP 0010039/DCN 0010029 -

was installed on October 23,1998. This TM welded a pipe sleeve with closure cap and vent valve (normally closed) to the exterior of Main Feedwater Check Valve FW-161' .;

to contain external leakage flow of hot and flashing feedwater from the valve body. i During the month of October 1998, no power operated relief valves (PORV) or primary system safety valve challenges or failures occurred.'  :
