Page 1 of 1 Docket No. 50-339 Report No. LER 81-022/03L-0 Description of Event On March 10, 1981, with Unit II at 100% power, it was discovered that the monthly surveillance on the APDMS update had exceeded the thirty-one day surveillance +25%. This event is contrary to T.S. 3.3.3.8 and reportable pursuant to T.S. 6.9.1.9.c.

Probable Consequences of Occurrence Since the previous F limits were more conservative than the ones just obtained, the health and Iafety of the public were not affected.

Cause of Event ,

The APDMS UPDATE surveillance test was not performed due to personnel error. The individual responsible for performing the test had just received the responsibility for maintaining the surveillance progree and had missed the requirement.to do the APDMS UPDATE test in his review of the surveillance

. schedule.

Immediate Corrective Action Upon discovery of the error, the periodic surveillance test was immediately performed and the reactor engineering surve?.11ance log was subsequently updated.
