Director, NRC Region V Office of Inspection and Enforcement, is being provided to the Appeal Board and the parties in this proceeding to report instances in which an assumption made by

-the Licensee in the course of this proceeding have been proven to be incorrect and two instances in which coramitments made by Licensee in the proceeding were not met.

The letter describes these instances and the corrective actions which have been and will be taken to prevent their recurrence.

Licensee does not believe that any of the conditions described in the letter to Mr. Engelken have compromised the safety of the Trojan Plant during the modification program.

Licensee is aware of the importance of its commitments made in the course of this proceeding and of the importance of complying strictly with License Amendment No. 55.
