By Order dated July 24, 1980, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board extended, pursuant to an NRC Staff request, the time within which exceptions to the Licensing Board's July 11, 1980 Initial Decision in the referenced proceeding might be filed to the tenth day following the date of service of a Licensing Board order clarifying the Initial' Decision. The Licensing Board's

" Order Clarifying Initial Decision with Regard to Control Building Modifica-tions" was issued on August 27, 1980. Accordingly, exceptions are due to be filed by September 6, 1980.

This is to inform'you that, based on the Licensing Board's clarifying order, the NRC Staff will not file exceptions to the Initial Decision of July 11, 1980.
