OPERATihG LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 27 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-54, issued to Sacramento Municipal Utility District (the licensee), which revised the license for operation of the Ranc'ho Seco Nuclear Generating Station (the facility), located in Sacramento County, California.

The amendment becomes effective on February 23, 1979.

The amende.ent nodifies a license condition to include the current Connission-approved physical security plan as part of the license.

The licensee's filings comply with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and tt Comission!s rules and regulations. The Comnission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I,.which are set forth in the license amendment.

Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant ha:ards consideration.

The Ccamission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to' 10 CFR 151.3(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative. declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be pre::ared in connection with issuance of tni amencment.

The withheld information is subject to disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 59.12.
