7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY CCMMISSICN DOCMET 'i0. 50-312 SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENCMENT TO FACILITY OPERATINC ICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 25 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-54, issued to Sacramento Municipal Utility District, which revised the license for operation cf the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station (the facility) located in Sacramento County, California. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment revises the completion data for certain modifications intended to improve tne level of fire protection at the facility.
The application for the amendment complies witn the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amer.ded (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as recuired by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consii eration.

The Connission has deterT,inec that tne issuance of this acencment will not result in any sicnificant environmental im;:act and that pur-suant to 10 CFR S 51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact sta:ement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
