l 7590-01 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION RANCHO SECC NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT DOCKET NO. 50-312 RECEIPT OF PETITION FOR DIRECTOR'S DECISION UNDER 10 CFR 2.206 Notice is hereby given that, by letter dated February 25, 1987, Ms. Barbara Moller of Sacramento, California, has petitioned the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to order the Licensee at the Rancho Secp Nuclear Generating Station to show cause why it should not be prevented from restarting until a complete check of all cables is undertaken or, in the alternative, why it should not be completely shut down. Bases for the petition are (1) the official investigation concerning falsification of cable tray data, and (2) the problem-laden history of the facility.

The Petition is being treated pursuant to 10 CFR 92.206 of the Comission's regulations and, accordingly, appropriate action will be taken on the request within a reasonable time. A copy of the Petition is available for inspection in the Comission's Public Document Room,1717 H Street, N.W.,

Washington, D.C. 20555 and in the Local Public Document Room for the Rancho Seco facility located at the Sacramento City-County Library, 828 I Street,-

Sacramento, California 95814.
