DPR-32 DPR-37 NPF-4 NPF-7 DRAFT NUREG 0696 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR SURRY POWER STATION NORTH ANNA POWER STATION Enclosed please find Virginia Electric and Power Company's proposed Implementation Plan for the establishment of emergency response facilities for Surry and North Anna Power Stations.
Organized to follow the format of Draft NUREG 0696, our Plan is submitted for your review and approval.
Details on the establishment of the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF), which are not included in the attached Plan, are now being finalized and will be submitted in the near future as a revision to the Plan.
It is hoped that early sub-mittal of the Plan will allow sufficient time for the NRC' s review and approval of at least a portion of Vepco' s program so that procurement of long-lead-time equipment can proceed as rapidly as possible.
This is especially important for the instrumentation and control equipment.
We respectfully request that approval of the attached Plan be granted no later than March 1, 19.81, in order that we may meet the July, 1982 deadline for operational facilities.
