Docket No. 50-206 Confirmation of Telecon Information San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 During the telephone discussion of July 2, 1986, the NRC staff was provided with design information regarding the newly installed Third Auxiliary Feedwater Pump (AFWP).

The purpose of this letter is to confirm the previous discussions.

The design rated flow of the Third AFWP is 355 gpm.

The last point on the manufacturers design curve is at 670 gpm.

The pump was tested after installation at both 355 gpm and 420 gpm on recirculation to confirm the pump curve.

The testing results were acceptable and included monitoring of pump oil temperature and vibration.
