Docket No. 50-206 NRC's Request for Additional Information Transamerica Delaval Emergency Diesel Generators San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Your letter dated January 6, 1984, requested information from Southern California Edison Company regarding the Transamerica Delaval emergency diesel generators at San Onofre Unit 1. This information is to consist of responses to seven (7) reliability survey questions, and a schedule for responding to seventeen (17) additional questions, and is to be provided within 30 days of the date of receipt of your letter, which is January 10, 1984.

The purpose of this letter is to advise you that an extension of time is required until February 29th, 1984, for providing our response to the NRC letter. The additional time will enable preliminary information we have collected so far to be reviewed for its accuracy and reliability.
