SCHEDULE REVISION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF THE SEABROOK STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NO. ME3959)

Dear Mr. Walsh:

By [[letter::L-2010-101, Comment (1) of Larry Nicholson, on Behalf of Florida Power & Light Co., on Proposed NUREG-0800, Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports for Nuclear Power Plants; Branch Technical Position (BTP) 7-19, Guidance for .|letter dated May 25, 2010]], NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra), submitted an application to renew the operating license for Seabrook Station Unit 1 (Seabrook), for an additional 20 years. In support of the application and in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, NextEra also submitted an environmental report for Seabrook. This letter is to inform you of a change in the environmental review schedule for the Seabrook license renewal review.

The scheduled date for the issuance of the final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) is revised from February 2015 to May 2015. The environmental review schedule is being revised to permit the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to prepare thorough and complete responses to all of the comments submitted on the draft SEIS and the supplement to the draft SEIS.
