Purpose:

The NRC requested an Annual Assessment Meeting with Entergy to discuss the NRCs assessment of the safety performance of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Units for calendar year 2006. The NRCs assessment is documented in a letter dated March 2, 2007.

The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have opportunities to communicate with the NRC attendees after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned. Several NRC representatives will also be available for an extended information session both prior to and during the Annual Assessment Meeting with Entergy. The information session is being provided to maximize discussion with the public to ensure their issues and concerns may be presented, understood, and considered by the NRC.
