Purpose:

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host an open house and public meeting to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for 2013, as described in the NRC annual assessment [[letter::05000286/LER-2014-001, Regarding Automatic Reactor Trip as a Result of Steam Flow/Feedwater Flow Mismatch with Low 33 Steam Generator (SG) Water Level Due to the Failure of the 33 SG Feedwater Flow Controller|letter dated March 4, 2014]]. The NRC will respond to questions on specific performance issues at the plant and our role in ensuring safe plant operations.

David Lew, Deputy Regional Administrator, Region I Michael Scott, Deputy Director, Division of Reactor Projects Arthur Burritt, Chief, Projects Branch 2, Division of Reactor Projects Douglas Pickett, Senior Project Manager, Licensing Branch I-1 Scott Stewart, Senior Resident Inspector, Indian Point Garrett Newman, Resident Inspector, Indian Point Ami Patel, Resident Inspector, Indian Point Public Participation: This is a Category 3 Meeting, at which the public is invited to ask questions or provide comments. From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the NRC staff will hold an open house to discuss Entergys performance at Indian Point during calendar year 2013. NRC staff will be available, in an informational setting, to answer questions from members of the public and discuss issues or concerns related to Indian Point. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the NRC will host a question and answer session in an adjacent area, during which members of the public will have an opportunity to ask questions or make statements. Time for individual comments at the meeting may be limited to accommodate as many speakers as possible.

Additionally, signs, banners, posters and displays affixed to any sticks, poles or other similar devices will not be permitted in the meeting room.
