Purpose:
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host an open house and public meeting to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for 2012, as described in the NRC annual assessment letter dated March 4, 2013. The NRC will respond to questions on specific performance issues at the plant and our role in ensuring safe plant operations.
NRC Attendees: William Dean, Regional Administrator, Region I Darrell Roberts, Director, Division of Reactor Projects James Clifford, Deputy Director, Division of Reactor Safety Arthur Burritt, Chief, Division of Reactor Projects, Projects Branch 2 James Trapp, Chief, Division of Reactor Safety, Engineering Branch 1 Douglas Pickett, Senior Project Manager, Licensing Branch I-1 Scott Stewart, Senior Resident Inspector, Indian Point Unit 2 Paul Cataldo, Senior Resident Inspector, Indian Point Unit 3 Katrina Dunham, Resident Inspector, Indian Point Unit 2 Ami Patel, Resident Inspector, Indian Point Unit 3 Public Participation: This is a Category 3 Meeting. During the open house, NRC staff will be available to answer questions from individuals and discuss issues or concerns related to Indian Point. In addition, the NRC will host a public question and answer session in an adjacent area, during which members of the public will be able to ask questions.
