Briefing for Stakeholders on Nov. 3 On Thursday, November 3 Indian Point will host a briefing for external stakeholders on the spent fuel pool issues. The briefing will include a tour of the IP2 spent fuel pool loading bay, the transformer yard and the monitoring wells near the discharge canal.

The guest list Includes representatives from the Congressional delegation, county emergency management professionals, New York State agencies, representatives from the Governor's office and local elected officials. The NRC will also be represented at the meeting. In all, some 65 people will be involved, if everyone who was Invited comes to the meeting.

We will need assistance from a number of departments, including security, radiation protection, operations, emergency planning, facilities and others. This will be a very high profile event for the station.

A copy of the preliminary agenda Is attached. I expect it will be refined, but it should give you a general idea of the scope. We are also in need of escorts for the tours. Please let Pat Falciano ext. 7441 know if you are able to participate as an escort. Please let me know If you anticipate any potential problems so that we can address them as soon as possible.
