FORTHCOMING MEETING TO DISCUSS THE LICENSE RENEWAL REVIEW PROCESS FOR INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION DATE AND TIME:
Wednesday, June 27, 2007 (Two identical sessions)
First session:
1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (as necessary)
Second session:
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (as necessary)
LOCATION:
Colonial Terrace 119 Oregon Road Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 CATEGORY 3*:
This is a Category 3 meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting. Several U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) representatives will also be available for an extended information session both prior to and during the meetings. The information session is being provided to maximize discussion with the public to ensure their issues and concerns may be presented, understood, and considered by the NRC.
PURPOSE:
The NRC received an application from Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.,
dated April 23, 2007, for the renewal of the operating license for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3. The NRC staff is holding these meetings to provide information regarding the license renewal review process and how the public can participate. The agenda for the meeting is enclosed. Information on the license renewal process is also available on the NRC's Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal.html.
