MN No.15-018 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REGION I NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING May 7, 2015 Licensee: Entergy Nuclear Northeast (Entergy)

Facilities: Indian Point Units 2 and 3 Docket Nos: 50-247 and 50-286 Date/Time: Wednesday, May 20, 2015 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Doors to the meeting room will open to the public at 6:00 p.m.

Location: Westchester Marriott Hotel - Grand Ballroom 670 White Plains Rd.

Purpose:

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host a public meeting to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for 2014, as described in the NRC annual assessment letter dated March 4, 2015.

NRC Attendees: Dan Dorman, Regional Administrator, Region I Ho Nieh, Director, Division of Reactor Projects Arthur Burritt, Chief, Projects Branch 2, Division of Reactor Projects Douglas Pickett, Senior Project Manager, Licensing Branch I-1 Scott Stewart, Senior Resident Inspector, Indian Point Garrett Newman, Resident Inspector, Indian Point Public Participation: This is a Category 3 Meeting, at which the public is invited to ask questions or provide comments.

From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the NRC will host a public meeting in the Grand Ballroom, during which members of the public will have an opportunity to ask questions or to make statements. Time for individual questions or comments at this meeting will be limited to three minutes in order to accommodate as many speakers as possible. Members of the public may enter the Grand Ballroom beginning at 6:00 p.m. Prior to 6:00 p.m., the Grand Ballroom will be closed to all except NRC staff and those performing services under contract for the NRC in support of this meeting.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., NRC staff will be available, in an informal setting adjacent to the Grand Ballroom, to discuss issues related to Indian Point.

2 An audio recording will be made of this meeting. The recording will be transcribed, and the audio will be made available on the NRCs website at www.nrc.gov.

The NRC will conduct the meeting in an orderly fashion and will endeavor to engender an environment that encourages respectful dialogue.

Threatening language made towards anyone in attendance will not be tolerated and, as such, will be cause for removal from the meeting by local law enforcement. In addition, individuals who repeatedly interrupt the meeting with disruptive conduct will be asked to leave. The meeting will be facilitated by Brett Klukan, Regional Counsel for NRC Region I.

For the security of everyone attending this meeting, local law enforcement officers will be conducting searches of personal items (briefcases, purses, backpacks, equipment cases, etc.) and performing random screenings outside the entry into the Grand Ballroom. No weapons of any kind are permitted in the meeting room.

Signs, banners, posters, and displays not larger than 18 x 18 are permitted in the meeting room. In the interest of public safety, signs affixed to any sticks, poles, or other similar devices are strictly prohibited.

No tables or displays will be permitted inside the Grand Ballroom.

Additionally, the hotel has prohibited tables or displays in the common areas outside the Grand Ballroom.
