Purpose:

The NRC requested an Annual Assessment Meeting with Entergy to discuss the NRCs assessment of the safety performance of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Units for calendar year 2004. The NRCs assessment is documented in a letter dated March 2, 2005. From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the NRC staff and Entergy representatives will discuss the NRC's assessment of Indian Point. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., in response to requests from some local officials, the staff will provide general information about the NRC's process for reviewing license renewal applications. The staff will also address security, and then provide over two hours for questions from members of the public.
