Sequoyah Unit 1 Heat Treating of Steam Generator Inner Radius U-Bend Tubes

Dear Mr. Denton:

Enclosed are two copies of TVA's report, Sequoyah Unit 1 Heat Treating of Steam Generator Inner Radius U-Bend Tubes which contains information which is proprietary to Westinghouse. Accordingly, we request that this information be withheld from public disclosure.

In order not to delay this submittal of information to the Commission in connection with the review of Sequoyah Unit 1 Heat Treating of Steam i Generator Inner Radius U-Bend Tubes we will comply with the requirements of 10CFR 2.79U to provide proprietary and non-proprietary versions together with an affidavit as soon as the proprietary information contained in the submittal has been specifically identified and the proprietary and non-propri~etary versions have been prepared. We will submit the-total required number of copies of the proprietary and non-proprietary versions of the information and the required affidavit at that time. These versions will be submitted by TVA as Westinghouse WCAP's 11378 and 11379 In the meantime, we have provided sufficient copies for you to initiate your review. E. Shomaker, Esq., of the NRC Office of the General Council, has previously advised Westinghouse under similar circumstances that he concurs with this procedure.

We expect to be able to fully comply with the requirements for the proprietary and non-proprietary versions of the information and an accompanying affidavit within 4 weeks.
