NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF FACILITY LICENSE (TAC NO. MA0099)

Enclosed is a copy of the " Notice of Consideration of Application for Renewal of Facility License" that is being filed with the Office of the Federal Register for publication. The Notice relates to your application dated September 30,1997, as supplemented on November 20, 1997, and June 18, and August 23,1999, for a license amendment to renew Facility License No. R-33 for the General Electric Nuclear Test Reactor.

The expiration date for this license was October 31,1997. However, since your application has been submitted at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of your license, you have satisfied i the requiremente of 10 CFR Part 2, Section 2.109, entitled "Effect of Timely Renewal l Application." Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.109, the existing license will be deemed not to I have expired until the request for renewal has been reviewed.
