I am writing in reference to your lett e of February 8,198.1 'to the Atomic Safety an : Licensing Board reques ting notice of public hearings-on the General l'lectric Test Reactor (GETR).

A copy of your letter was recently.

transnitted-to me.

Your letter also states that.your organization. wishes to testify in support of the facility and t;ould like to be informed of the procedure.

As you may be cware, the GETR has been shut down by Com1ission Order since j

October 1977.

Public hearings are scheduled to be held on the :ssues of the Order in late l'ay and/or early June 1981.

A f!otice of Hearing in the proceed-l ing hasinot yet been published.

A copy of the flotice will to sent to you coce it is published.

A methud by which a member of the public may participate in Commission l

proceedings is by making a linited appearance pursuant to 10 CFR 2.715.
