Dear Dr. Denton:
On June 26, 1985, the General Electric Company submitted supplemental license renewal information including proposed Technical Specifications for the ' shut down General Electric Test Reactor facility.
As the result of conversations with your staff and Region V, the enclosed modified pages are hereby submitted.
Changes are identified by a black vertical line in the right-hand margin.
The changes were -the addressing of the storage and ultimate disposal of liquid effluents (Technical Specification 3.7) and the elimination of area radiation monitors as a Technical Specification item (Technical Specifications 3.7 and 4.7).
The monitors are not necessary 'as all fuel has been removed from the facility and ALARA would not be served by maintaining and cali-brating equipment in an unoccupied facility.
This is consistent with the requirements at the deactivated VBWR and EVESR facilities.
