RESPONSE TO FINANCIAL ASSURANCE SUBMITTALS RELATED TO LICENSES DPR-1, R-33, TR-1, AND DR-10 IN LETTERS DATED AUGUST 31, 1993, t OCTOBER 13, 1993, DECEMBER 2, 1993, AND DECEMBER 17, 1993 In your letter to Mr. Robert M. Bernero of August 31, 1993, you requested the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to sign two copies of the Chemical Bank Letter - of Credit Amendment and Trust Agreement - Schedule A, decreasing the letter of credit amount by the sum of $1,500,000. You requested that the license DPR-1 cost estimate be reduced by $151,000; that license R-33 be reduced by $79,000; that license TR-1 be reduced by $556,000; that license DR-10 be reduced by $296,000; and that the reserve be reduced by $418,000. Dr. Louis Bykoski of my staff discussed your request and it was agreed that you would provide a further explanation for the reduction. i With the receipt of your subsequent letters of October 13, 1993, December 2, 1993, and December 17, 1993, which contained more detail with regard to volumes of waste, costs, and further explanation for the reduction request, my staff has reviewed the documents and find the cost estimate acceptable.
