Gentlemen:
Subject: NRC Inspection - NTR/GETR
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. M. Cillis of this
office on August 12-15, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC License
Nos. R-33 and TR-1, to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. Cillis with
Mr. Titus and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection;
and the telephone discussion between Messrs. Smith and Strain of your staff
and Mr. G. Yuhas on September 25, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that one of your
activities was not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set
forth in the Notice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.
With respect to Appendix A of the Notice of Violation, no response is
cecessary in view of the timely manner in which you corrected the item. We
have no further questions on this matter.
Regarding interpretation of the operator license restrictions related to
medical conditions we are evaluating this matter and will advise you of our
conclusion.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
