In your October 21,1975 application for renewal of Operating License No. TR-1 for the General-Electric Test Reactor.(GETR), you recognized the need to furnish additiona1'information in support of this requested action.
On several occasions we.have discussed with you the general scope of the staff's license renewal evaluation for GETR' indicating our intent to place emphasis on reviewing those features of the facility including site related matters that may have changed significantly since the last license renewal in 1966 and our intent to examine the extent; to which GETR can or should be required to meet regulatory criteria that have been developed since 1966.
It was,our understanding based on these discussions that you would submit all or most of the necessary additional.information by April of this year.
In order that we may complete our evaluation of your application for license renewal, you are requested to submit this additional information within 30 days of receipt of this letter. This additional infonnation should include the full report of your investigative study of the ability of GETR to withstand earthquakes, for safety related features.
If you cannot submit all the'infonnation within 30 days we request that you -
submit the completed portions and provide us with a schedule identifying i
. dates when you will submit the balance of the information.
