Operating License No. DPR-16 Docket No. 50-219 Year 2000 Readiness of Computer Systems at OCNGS (Generic Letter (GL) 98-01, Supplement 1)

Our letter dated July 1,1999 responded to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's request (i.e., Generic Letter 98-01, Supplement 1) for information regarding Year 2000 (Y2K) readiness at Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.

Attachment 1 of the July 1,1999 letter, listed two software systems (i.e., ETUDE and j REM /AACS/CICO) that remained to be remediated as of July 1,1999 to achieve Y2K  !

readiness at OCNGS. The remediation target dates listed in the Attachment I for the {

software systems were August 15,1999 for ETUDE and September 30,1999 for i REM /AACS/CICO.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that our remediation efforts for the software systems (i.e., ETUDE and REM /AACS/CICO) have been completed according to the schedule and they are now Y2K ready.

, Septerp,ber 30,1999 With remediation of the software systems, the Y2K readiness program at OCNGS has been completed through the detailed assessment, remediation, and testing and validation phases for those components, systems, software and services within the scope of the license, NRC regulations, and other systems required for continued operation of the facility after January 1,2000.
