COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) - UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50 446 ANALYSES Of THERHAL STRESSES IN THE RCS BRAtlCH LINES Gentlemen:
TV Electric indicated that the issue of potential thermal stratification effects for the CPSES Unit 2 RCS Branch lines would be submitted before Unit 2 initial criticality. TV Electric has completed analyses of the potential effects of thermal stratification on the CPSES Unit 2 RCS Branch lines. The analyses show that thermal stratification will not affect the integrity of these branch lines and that the requirements of flRC Bulletin 88-08 are satisfied.
The first enclosure consists of five (5) copies of WCAP-13211. titled 'NRC Bulletin 88 08 Evaluation of Auxiliary Piping for Comanche Peak Unit 2" (Proprietary).
The second enclosure consists of five (5) copies of WCAP-13218. titled 'NRC Bulletin 88 08 Evaluation of Auxiliary Piping for Comanche Peat Unit 2" (flon-Proprietary).
The t 'rd enclosure consists of a Westinghouse Application for Withholding Proprieary Information with Accompanying Affidavit CAW-92-269. Proprietary Information Notice and Copyright Hotice.
