COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) - UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50 446 ANALYSES Of THERHAL STRESSES IN THE RCS BRAtlCH LINES Gentlemen:
TV Electric indicated that the issue of potential thermal stratification effects for the CPSES Unit 2 RCS Branch lines would be submitted before Unit 2 initial criticality.
TV Electric has completed analyses of the potential effects of thermal stratification on the CPSES Unit 2 RCS Branch lines. The analyses show that thermal stratification will not affect the integrity of these branch lines and that the requirements of flRC Bulletin 88-08 are satisfied.
The first enclosure consists of five (5) copies of WCAP-13211. titled 'NRC Bulletin 88 08 Evaluation of Auxiliary Piping for Comanche Peak Unit 2" (Proprietary).
The second enclosure consists of five (5) copies of WCAP-13218. titled 'NRC Bulletin 88 08 Evaluation of Auxiliary Piping for Comanche Peat Unit 2" (flon-Proprietary).
The t 'rd enclosure consists of a Westinghouse Application for Withholding Proprieary Information with Accompanying Affidavit CAW-92-269. Proprietary Information Notice and Copyright Hotice.
This submittal contains information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporction it is supported by an affidavit signed by Westinghouse, the owner of the information.
The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses with specificity the considerations listed in paragraph (b)(4) of 10CFR2.790.
