Enclosed is supplemental infcimation to the Toledo Edison Company Davis-llesse Nuclear Power Station (DilNPS), Unit Number 1 application for revision of Technical Specification (TS) 5.3.1, Puel Asr,emblies.

This TS tevision vill allov the tepair of fuel assemblies containing defective fuel tods. The scope of the repairs vill be limited to those coniigutations for which applicable NRC approved codes and methods ate valid.

This submittal supplements the information enntained in Toledo Edison's application (letter Serial Numtmr 1924) dated May 31, 1991, and is based on meetings held between Toledo Edison and the NRC Staff on August 14, 1991 and August 21, 1991. The supplemental information has been appropriately incorporated into the application for amendment and a complete copy of the application is provided fot the NRC Staff'n review.

Toledo Edison requests that the NRC process this amendment application in an expeditious manner to avoid a delay in the startup of the D!)NPS from the Seventh Refueling Outage.
