IPEC status report for Oct 31, 2006 Indian Point Energy Center Status Report October 31, 2006 Operational Status IP2 is currently at 100% reactor power; the unit has been on line for 69 days and Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 102 days.
DHS Evaluated Exercise Scheduled for November 14 Entergy along with the four counties in the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone and New York State SEMO will participate in a federally evaluated exercise on November 14. The exercise will include the operation of the newly established Joint Information Center in Hawthorne, N.Y. A public debrief is schedule for Friday, November 17 at Crystal Bay in Peekskill, N.Y. at 2:00 p.m.
Alert Declared Yesterday at Entergy's ANO Unit is currently off-line following small electricalfire Entergy, the owner of Arkansas Nuclear One, declared an Alert yesterday after a small fire broke out in the unit's auxiliary extension building.
An alert is the second lowest of NRC's four emergency classifications. The fire lasted less than 10 minutes. Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit 2 restarted from an outage over the weekend after a 38-day refueling and maintenance outage. There was minimal damage and no injuries report. The unit was taken off-line last night to effect the repairs.
