The unit has been online for 12 days Indian Point 2 is operating at full power and has been online for 75 days Emergency Plan Drill May.16 An emergency response drill will be conducted on Wednesday, May 16.
Emergency response drills are conducted periodically to train responders and test notification and decision making capabilities. They provide an opportunity for Entergy, the four counties in the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone and New York State to coordinate their response to a simulated incident at Indian Point.
Educational Outreach Entergy Nuclear Northeast provides customized outreach education programs for schools, youth groups, and civic organizations. The topics we cover include Emergency Planning, Understanding Radiation, Nuclear Fuel and a general overview of the operations of Indian Point Energy Center.
